You will need to bring the plastic part and the paper part of your provisional licence with you on your first lesson.

This is simply for me to check that I am entitled to teach you to drive. I take a note of the number and give it back to you.

If you have not got your provisional licence yet, you can apply online.

I will ask you to read a number plate about 20 metres away. This is the same requirement you will be asked for on your practical test. You can wear glasses or contact lenses if necessary.

Nervous?

Understandable with the thought of navigating 1.5 tonnes of metal in a public place, but I will keep you and everyone around safe, by personalising your lesson within your comfort zone. The fitted dual controls mean that i can stop the car quickly and safely if needed, although most pupils report that the first lesson was much less stressful than anticipated- even enjoyable!!

For more support as you near your test see the 'Test nerves' page.
